CalmTales

From our family to yours

Bedtime doesn't have to be a battle.

CalmTales was born from years of late-night battles with our neurodivergent son.

I'm Will, his dad. My wife and I made it to help families like ours have more peaceful bedtimes.

One new story a day, free. Read aloud by you.

A soft place to finish.

The story follows the same gentle shape, all the way to its quiet ending. Save a favorite to read again.

Their words, their story

We're here to help
Is this an app for my child to use?

CalmTales is for you, the parent. You make a story on your phone and read it aloud, just as you would read a book. Children do not have accounts or use the app.

Can I use the words my child repeats?

Yes. Put a phrase like “choo choo” or “blast off” in Focus Word or Topic. The story uses it several times. You can also turn on echolalia-optimized stories for short, calm phrases your child can say back.

What comes with the free plan?

One new story a day, Sleep Journal logging, background sounds and your story library. Watercolor pictures are optional when you make a story.

What does Premium add?

Unlimited stories, plus Sleep Patterns and up to three suggestions to try. Monthly and yearly plans are available. Eligible new subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

Do I need an internet connection?

You need an internet connection to make a new story and use your account.

starts with them.

With their words. With what they love.
And with you, right beside them.
